When I think about Maggie & Zach’s wedding at The Log Cabin in Holyoke, Massachusetts, the first word that comes to mind is joyful. From the very first time I met them for their engagement session in Jacksonville, Florida, I knew their wedding day was going to be one to remember. They’re one of those couples who are just so easy to be around—photogenic, kind, and completely head over heels for one another.
After that session, we all just clicked. I decided to send over my wedding pricing guide to shoot my shot, and it turned out Maggie had already been hoping to ask me to travel for their wedding at The Log Cabin. It was the perfect win-win! The very next day, they officially booked me, and I couldn’t have been more thrilled to follow their story from engagement all the way to “I do.”
From Lifeguards to Lifelong Love
Maggie and Zach’s love story began years ago when they were coworkers at Great Wolf Lodge in high school. They started out as friends, but life took them in different directions for college. Fate brought them back together in 2020, when they both returned home to Massachusetts, and that’s when sparks officially flew.
For the past few years, they’ve been building their life together in Florida, where Zach serves as a Navy helicopter pilot. Even with the challenges of being far from home, Maggie says Zach’s caring and supportive nature makes every new adventure feel easy—he’s not just her fiancé but her best friend.
A Proposal in Paris
If you’re going to end a European adventure, why not go out with a bang? While traveling through London, Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris, Zach waited until the very last day of their two-week trip to propose. In the National Museum of Modern Art in Paris, surrounded by history and beauty, Maggie said yes. It was the perfect beginning to their next chapter.
A Relationship Built on Adventure & Joy
When they’re not planning trips or celebrating milestones, you can usually find Maggie & Zach outdoors. Whether it’s biking to the beach, hiking, or just spending a slow morning making breakfast together, they value the little moments just as much as the big ones. They describe their relationship in three words: fun, caring, and loving. And if I had to describe their photos? Definitely fun, flirty, and full of laughter—which feels exactly like them.

With its rustic charm, elegant spaces, and breathtaking scenery, it set the stage for a day full of love and excitement.
From getting-ready moments inside the cozy bridal suites to the lively reception overlooking the hills, The Log Cabin gave us so many beautiful spaces to capture memories. The mix of natural surroundings and warm, inviting interiors matched Maggie & Zach’s energy beautifully—laid-back, but still full of intention.

What stood out most about Maggie & Zach’s wedding wasn’t just the stunning setting at The Log Cabin or the heartfelt details—it was the way they looked at each other, the way they made everyone around them feel welcome, and the undeniable fun they had together. The weather may not have given us an epic golden-hour sunset, but instead we were treated to soft, overcast light and the prettiest cotton-candy skies. It felt magical in its own way and made their portraits uniquely theirs.
