As a wedding photographer, I’m always moved when I get to capture a love story in a place full of meaning. Seth and Lindsay’s day wasn’t just at a gorgeous beachfront property—it was at their home. Their backyard in Neptune Beach, FL became the setting for one of the most heartfelt celebrations I’ve photographed.
A Love Story That Spans States
Seth and Lindsay first met through mutual friends. At the time, Seth was living in Montana, but he often returned to Florida to visit. Lindsay always found him funny and full of life, yet the timing never felt right. That changed during a ski trip to Montana in January 2022. What started as a simple getaway with friends turned into something more. Their connection deepened on that trip, and a long-distance relationship soon followed—one neither of them expected.
By November 2022, Seth made the move to Neptune Beach. He followed his heart, and Lindsay welcomed him home. That same spirit shaped every detail of their wedding day.
A Sedona Sunrise Proposal
Their proposal story is just as meaningful as their wedding. After both experiencing the loss of their fathers in 2024, they planned a healing trip to Sedona, Arizona. The dates fell close to Lindsay’s birthday. Seth planned the trip as a surprise and popped the question during a sunrise hike surrounded by breathtaking red rock views. The moment was quiet, emotional, and filled with the kind of love that grows through shared highs and lows.
An Elegant Backyard Beach Wedding
Their Neptune Beach home transformed into the perfect oceanfront venue. It was effortless, serene, and incredibly personal. There is something rare and special about exchanging vows in the place you live and love. With the Atlantic just steps away, gentle waves created a soothing soundtrack all day long. The celebration felt intimate and relaxed, yet full of elegance.
The styling was the definition of timeless coastal elegance. The color palette was simple and refined: soft whites, warm neutrals, and natural textures that blended seamlessly with the sand, sea grass, and palms. Instead of bold colors or over-the-top decor, everything felt grounded—just like Seth and Lindsay’s love.
Personal Details & Beautiful Light
One of my favorite moments to photograph was their ceremony, framed by the shoreline and softened by golden late-afternoon light. Their vows were emotional and intentional, and you could feel how much their loved ones cherished being part of this day.
The reception continued with an organic, laid-back vibe—string lights danced above the tables, barefoot guests mingled with cocktails in hand, and Seth and Lindsay never stopped smiling. There was laughter, there were quiet, tearful toasts, and there was so much joy. I kept catching little in-between moments: the way Lindsay looked at Seth when he wasn’t watching, or how his hand would always find hers, even in a crowd.
